Your video card may or may not be adequate for the game (you should read the game's minimum hardware requirements). If your computer is a 'brand name' computer, particularly a laptop, go to the computer manufacturer's website and download the current driver for your video card. You will need to identify the model of your computer. Some brands use a 'service tag' (Dell) or the like to make it easier to determine what hardware is installed. If you have a custom built computer or your computer manufacturer is no longer available, identify the make and model of your video card (see below) and then go to the video card manufacturer's website to get the current driver. Make sure that you download the driver for Windows XP (not for another operating system or other version of Windows). Directions for installing the driver should be on the web page where you find the driver (or in an accompanying 'readme' file). To determine the make and model of your video card, open Device Manager (Start > Run > devmgmt.msc > OK) Click the + next to 'Display adapters' and your video card should be identified.
